Year in review and the year ahead

January 9, 2014

We ended the year with a bang and sold out of almost all of our inventory of bottles leading up to Christmas. So closes 2013 and our first 7 months in business. We’ve learned a lot and have brewed a remarkable amount of beer.  All 7 of our one-off beers were well received based on the number of times we are asked when we are making X beer again.

We have lots planned for the coming year; our first full year. Lord Simcoe will be making his return and we’ve got quite the list of ideas to try out. We hope that you’ll enjoy each and every brew.

There are some practical changes coming as well. We regret to announce that we will be unable to accept bottle returns for our 500mL bottles as of Feb 1st. You’ll still be able to return your bottles to the beer store. Unfortunately, with our process, we cannot guarantee that bottles come completely clean. This forces us to inspect each one. We know that it’s only a matter of time before we have an unsatisfied customer due to an error on our part. As a result we will only be using new bottles to ensure the quality of the beer. We apologise for any inconvenience. This does not change our growler policy.

We’d love to tell you all about the little details that we’ve got planned but we are going to keep you in suspense. Keep an eye on this blog and our facebook page for updates. We’ll let you know when new beers are coming out and some other exciting developments.

Cheers to all our customers and supporters; we couldn’t have done it without you!
