How did we make our anniversary ale? With work, friendship, and luck! We bought 300 lbs of gorgeous field-ripened raspberries and strawberries from our friends at Heeman's, We then hand blended them, added them to some fresh malty wort, and the fire was lit! Using only the microorganisms found on the raspberries from the Heeman's terroir, this wild ale took off and miraculously produced a supremely tart, dry, and delicious beer. Relying on only self-fermenting methods is always a risky venture, but it's really paid off. When we say it's like summer in a glass, it's hard to argue.
